Why do many people joke about our suffering (Chinese earthquake)?
Oh. Good thinking. You object to people making jokes, so you will teach your children to hate people. That is brilliant. Way to train your kids to get ahead in life. People make jokes about everything. People make jokes about the Holocaust. People make jokes about dead babies. The bottom line is that ANY situation, good or bad, is material for jokes. It is horrendous, what has happened in China. The number of deaths is staggering. Everyone with a brain aknowledges that. Still, people will joke. It is a pretty standard human reaction to tragedy. Teaching your children hate is only moderately more brainless than not aknowledging how bad the situation is in China.
I am an American, and I have not heard one single person joke about the suffering in China. Not one. All I’ve heard, instead, is people asking how they can get aid to the people there, and stating how very sorry they are for the tragic loss of life. You may teach your children to hate us if you like, but hate is a terrible thing to saddle a child with. And even if you and your family hate us, we are still sorry for your loss. Sometimes, we are bewildered at what to do to help in a situation that is so catastrophic.
i am chinese 2 but i think ur reaction 2 hating western people is wrong, though i no that they were very mean and i am really pissed off 2 but not all people r lyk that u should go c how much defame they got XD but i truly feel that it isn’t good cuz no matter where their will always be people who make fun of another race and sometimes you should just try to learn with it, and okay i bet u have made fun of western people before so i wouldnt be talking but yeah wat they said is really bad and its about a serious matter *should be reported in this case
There are all kind of people in this world, and please don’t honor even thinking or writing about those awful persons that are saying stupid things about the suffering in your country. I know we all are different, different religion, etc. but my family, friends and I are praying for all the people in China who lost a love one or are injured. Don’t teach hate to your children, hate hurts the heart of the ones that allow that terrible feeling in their hearts, you see it in those criticizing or saying bad things about China now, Teach your children love and understanding of bad and good.
