Why do low rise/waist jeans measure larger than my normal waist measurements?
Low waist jeans have a larger waist measurments because they are meant to sit below the natural waistline. Example: Size 2 normal waist measurements are between 25/26″ Hips are around 35″ if you go in between these two measurement you will find the right fit for low waist jeans. 27/28″ is the ballpark for regular low waist jeans. 29/30″ is around the waist measurements for ultra low rise jeans. This example may vary with different jean manufacturers.
