Why do laboratory courses sometimes appear as schedule conflicts?
Until the course-change deadline for a term has passed, multiple CRNs will exist for laboratory courses having more then one lab section. Students register for the class based on the scheduling of the lab section. The existence of multiple sections creates an apparent schedule conflict, so some sections will be placed outside of the grid. After the course-change period has ended, the two sections are consolidated into a third; from this point forward, the apparent schedule conflict will no longer exist.
