Many times a student’s specific learning disabilities don’t get explained to the teachers, especially not classes like gym and home ec. They were probably just told that you have a learning disability and a physical disability, but they don’t understand what specifically that means. One of the easiest things to do would be to ask the teacher if you could talk to them in private before/after class. Very calmly, explain to them that you appreciate them trying to pay a lot of extra attention to you, but that it makes you feel awkward in front of the rest of the class.
