Why do kids bully?
Bullies like to pick on people who are different. They seek to exploit those differences and choose victims who they think are unlikely to retaliate. Kids who are bullied might be overweight, learn at a slower pace, have a physical disability, have a difficult home life, or have low self-esteem. Kids who bully probably were bullied themselves. Or they have problems at home and picking on someone else is their way of coping. Bullying might make them feel stronger and in control. It makes them feel popular and important.
