Why do Jews and Muslims not eat pork?
They are not allowed to eat animals that have a split hoove or that “chews the Cud”, (Which is an animal that regurgitates it’s food to swallow it), It was said to be unclean but that is in the old testament and there is no mention of it in the new. It is a very OLD tradition they have kept in there religion.
In biblical times pork was considered to be highly unclean due to the living conditions and habits of pigs (eating own feaces, living in pig sty etc. Today however, pork is not unsafe but old habits die hard and today these beliefs are ingrained as part of the culture. This is probably due to people who are more fundamental and insist on following the bible and Quaran to the mark despite these texts being written 2000 years ago before man even knew the earth was round and that we orbited the sun. But hell, many folks may find my views as offensive as I find theirs!
