Why do insurers receive Wisconsin rejections that have passed NCCI edits?

0

NCCI and WCRB review the NCCI URQ edits for potential impact to the Wisconsin Stat Plan Manual. Review of existing edits and implementation of new edits will remain an ongoing task between WCRB and NCCI staff. Some policy and unit stat editing functions will not be able to be performed by NCCI due to a limited database. Because two reporting options exist when reporting unit statistical data for Wisconsin, the data grades assigned to edit failures in NCCI’s database must allow for correction reports to process.

While NCCI and WCRB make every effort to keep our edits in sync, NCCI has limitations on editing WCRB data as they do not have a complete policy and statistical WI database. Therefore, although a report may pass NCCI’s edits, it is also subject to WCRB edits. Editing against our data may result in failures.
