Why do Insurance Companies or carriers behave in such ways and use such reprehensible tactics?

A. First because they can and get away with it; it is human nature to follow the line of least resistance. Second, when they can create a stalemate for the unsuspecting insured, they have a two to one advantage for prevailing. Third, the carriers often like to redefine the issue to confuse and frustrate the insured and if they can get the insured to engage on their preferred subject, they win again. So in addition to winning and keeping monies held in trust and owed to you in this process, they also use these same tactics to cover-up their own inherent intentional failures due to under-staffing, over-tasking staff, under-paying staff, abusing staff and under training staff and the consequences it creates.
