Excuse me, stop generalizing. I’m Indian. I’m a Christian. I don’t drink alcohol because I’m not 21 yet. My cousins, however, are Hindu and they still drink alcohol. 1. Not all Indians are Hindu. 2. Not all Hindus abstain from alcohol, and I don’t see why not wanting to drink is a problem. 3. People abstain from drinking for more than just spiritual reasons. Maybe they fall into alcoholism very easily and don’t want that to happen. Maybe they are violent drunks. Maybe they just don’t like the taste of alcohol. I’ve tasted it before, and I think it’s disgusting. Give me a Dr.Pepper over alcohol any day. I probably won’t drink more than a couple times in my life, and it’s not because my faith is “holding me back.” It’s a personal choice, and if it offends anyone, well, I don’t apologize because it’s not really something anyone should be offended by.
