Why do Indians make so funny Labor Laws?
It’s because back in the day, India was notorious for horrifying labor conditions, and it’s a case of going overboard. Similar to racism in the US. Affirmative action, by definition, is an act of racism. It’s around because of the horrid way whitey treated blacks for centuries. Blacks in the US were treated horribly, and now they receiver preferential treatment from the government, as a way to say we have moved past that. The labor conditions in India were horrid, so now the labor laws are unfairly advantageous to the laborers, as a way to show you have moved past treating laborers unfairly. In the US, we call it overkill.
