Why do I take the low-dose Aspirin (ASA, Asaphen) and for how long?
Low-dose Aspirin is 81 mg of ASA (common brand name is Asaphen). The current evidence suggests that it improves endometrial blood flow so that a better endometrial lining develops. The low-dose Aspirin is taken once daily starting with down-regulation depending upon the protocol. It does not matter what time of day it is taken and can be taken with food. Continue taking the low-dose aspirin until the pregnancy test, which confirms whether implantation has taken place. For most people, regardless of the outcome of the test, you may stop taking the low-dose Aspirin at this time. In some situations, your physician may recommend continuing the low-dose Aspirin through pregnancy.
