Why do i take naps in the afternoon and wake up with headaches?
I’ve had that problem myself, long ago when I had the luxury of being able to take afternoon naps (back in college). For myself, there were multiple answers: 1) Oversleep. If I have had too much sleep, it results in a headache. Resolution: Get regular sleep and keep to a schedule. Oversleep was usually caused by pulling too many overnighters or skipping too much sleep. I’d oversleep as my body attempted to catch up, and end up with a headache. 2) Caffeine withdrawal. I don’t drink soda or tea, so my sole caffeine source is coffee. If I am giving up coffee (or cutting back severely), I might have an afternoon nap because I’m tired. That nap might refresh me, but I might still wake up with a headache. It’s actually a caffeine headache, and it goes away if I drink something with caffeine in it. (The caffeine also wakes me up.) 3) Overheating.
