Why do I start loosing concentration after about 20 minutes on the track?
You are not alone, and dealing with this one challenge alone will often put you ahead of some faster cars by the end of a long race. Driving around a race circuit is a repetitive task, and repetitive tasks don’t hold the mind’s attention very well. Concentration is an acquired skill that needs constant practice. As a driver there are two things you need to do. First, address the tedium of lapping by constantly challenging yourself to do each corner better than you ever have. Really work hard at relentless improvement. Performing the perfect lap is so hard that it provides an unending challenge. Second, you have to regularly practice maintaining high concentration, even if it is in other tasks. Nothing is better for training your concentration skills than a good racing simulator. Practice doing non-stop sessions that are longer than your average race without crashing. You will be developing countless other skills at the same time.
