Why do I see some privately owned vehicles (POV) displaying lights and sirens or emergency flashers?
As explained in a previous answer volunteers are a valuable asset to our department. The volunteers respond in their privately owned vehicles from all locations through out the county. As with any emergency vehicle these lights and sirens are to identify the individuals as emergency personnel responding to an emergency incident.
