Why do I see negative AC wattage in low light conditions or in a new install?
A. The PVP inverter has an algorithm which decides under specific conditions whether to regulate the DC bus voltage. The theory behind the algorithm is to maintain a net energy yield during low light conditions. The inverter consumes AC wattage in order to maintain the DC bus at a specific voltage level, rather than shutting off, and waiting five additional minutes prior to connecting to the AC grid. Q.
