The calendar provides the dates and times of the economic news releases (e.g. GDP, PMI, Central Bank Meetings, etc.) for the upcoming week, with an indication of the volatility that the news releases are expected to cause. The reason that I publish the weekly economic calendar is not to suggest trading opportunities, but rather to make traders aware of when the news releases are happening. Some traders prefer to be flat (i.e. not in an active trade) when news releases occur (especially the high volatility news releases). Other traders will trade during news releases, but will be aware that there may be some unexpected price movement because of the news releases.
