Why do I need to use the special Osmogro® plant pot?
The Osmogro® plant pot has a completely flat and smooth base with normal plant pot drainage holes only in the bottom. It’s been specially designed to work with the other components in the Osmogro® houseplant watering system. The smooth, flat Osmogro® plant pot base forms a seal with the water-swollen Osmogro® gel disc. Unless your plant is supplied in an Osmogro® compatible plant pot, your houseplant will need to be re-potted into one of these. It may be possible to make some plastic plant pots compatible with the Osmogro® self-watering system by removing any raised “feet” and smoothing the base of the pot using sandpaper or similar. The Osmogro® plant pot can also be used like any normal plant pot.
