Why do I need to use the MC4 system when Internet connectivity at our location operates too intermittently to support MC4?

The MC4 system is specifically designed for the deployed environment with intermittent connectivity. All patient encounters captured on the system are saved and queued for when connectivity returns. The system then automatically sends all of the encounters to the Joint Medical Workstation (JMeWS) and Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS), and then on to central data repository (CDR) to contribute to a Soldier’s lifelong medical record. The encounter data is also evaluated by commanders as part of medical reports and surveillance data.
