Why do I need to gap ResinDek panels?
ResinDek panels, like most other panels in the Industry, are prone to linear expansion during changes in humidity on the jobsites. Because ResinDek panels are made of wood fibers and a variety of resins, melamine and urea resins, they are extremely dense and don’t crush under load. Because they don’t crush, they are particularly susceptible to buckling if the panels expand together.
