Why do I need to create a Waypoint when I’m creating a geofence?

The Waypoint is used by the system to create an anchor around or near where the geofence will be created. It makes finding and naming geofences a lot easier as you may end up with a lot of them Q: I’m having trouble creating my geofence – I cannot see how to create a circular geofence. Once you are ready to drop down the geofence (Step 3), you must choose either ‘Circular’ or ‘Polygon’ from the box in the bottom right of the screen. Then (for a circle), click once on the map near the waypoint and then a bit further out click again to create the outer radius. A circle will be created and if you need to move or adjust it you can do so just by clicking and dragging a balloon marker. Ir-regular geofences are created using the polygon tool. You can create as many place markers as you like by clicking on the map but you must close the geofence by clicking on the first marker you created. If its successful, the blue geofence will be created.
