The inter.net.works Web Daemon is the cornerstone of the inter.net.works Accelerate IT program to speed up web pages. The Web Daemon is a custom application to be used exclusively by customers of inter.net.works. Once installed, the Web Daemon can immediately serves content requested by Internet Explorer or any browser configured to “proxy” the Web Daemon. Web Daemon listen on all HTTP requests from installed browsers and directs the request to the Propel network. Propel Software hosts compressed content at its facility and will fulfill the requests for the Web Daemon. Web Daemon then caches the request and serves the content to your browser. As such, Web Daemon serves two important acceleration functions. First to listen to browser requests and forward the request to the propel network, then to serve compressed content to the browser windows.
