Why do I need a NetID?
Every GW staff member is required to establish and maintain a NetID. The University uses the Colonial Mail address associated with your NetID to communicate administrative and emergency information to you and publishes the Colonial Mail address in GW’s online directory. You need a NetID to log into the myGW portal, to use the GWireless network, to download certain software, and to access various other University systems.
