A dedicated PC is required to ensure that the required system performance is always available to record 8 channels of audio data. The minimum requirements are a 1GHz P3 or P4 processor with 256MB RAM. An A/V rated hard drive will help. We don’t recommend running any other applications on this PC as it will reduce the amount of CPU available for recording audio.
