Why do I need a damp proof membrane (vapor barrier / sheet PE)?
The manufacturers always recommend using a vapor barrier (polyethylene (PE) sheet) to protect the laminate flooring from moisture subsoil. This is particularly important for the rooms without basements and in new buildings. Without this moisture barrier will go up on the tables. As the layer laminate surface is not porous does not allow even the smallest amount of moisture to penetrate the atmosphere. Therefore, the moisture becomes trapped in main board and eventually affect the accumulation of soil moisture.
