Why do I like CSI Miami despite Horatios cheesy one-liners?
It’s hard to believe the show has any connection to the original or CSI:NY, the writing is so bad. I think David Caruso is the worst actor to ever earn a good living acting. I’m amazed whenever he gets work. I don’t hate the show, it is entertaining, although Christian Slater is a much better actor, which is why I’m watching My Own Worst Enemy. BUT, I agree. His one-liners at the beginning of the show are the best part. They cram 2 hours worth of MST3k cheesy goodness into one sentence. CSI:NY had a line this week that made me think about the difference between Horatio and Mac. Mac said something about the perp’s life being property of the NY Department of Corrections for the next 25 years. I thought, with Mac saying it, the guy is actually probably scared. With H saying it, he would just think “Wow, what a jerk.” “But man, those poorly-written, weirdly-delivered one-liners…” You said it perfectly. lol, weirdly delivered.
