Why do I like Bodum glassware?
Some general info on the Pavina line from Bodum – Bodum’s Pavina glasses are an attractive glassware which is double walled. The two layers make the liquid inside look as if it is floating or suspended in the glass itself. The type of glass used in these has thermal qualities so you don’t need a coaster to protect your furniture and hot liquid won’t burn your hands! Each glass is mouth blown which makes each one unique with slight variations. It is extremely lightweight, but still made from strong borosilicate glass which is a strong heat resistant glass used in labs for scientific research. In addition, it is the same type of glass used in Pyrex glassware and bakeware, but you won’t equate it to Pyrex because it is so light weight! Bodum received a prestigious design award for its glassware from the International Design Forum (European IF award). This is impressive, but easy to believe if you have seen the glasses.
