Why do i lack motivation?
Well you write very well, esp for a 15 yrs old. You have quite a mature approach and ability to reflect on things. Low self-esteem is another term for ‘I am not good enough’. It really translates to ‘I have reasons that I cannot accept myself’. And all good mental health starts with accepting yourself. When people don’t start accepting themselves, warts and all, they start getting anxious or depressed and this interferes with their abilty to think their way through things making situations tougher. Self-acceptance is more important than self-esteem. Self-esteem is based on ‘rating’ yourself. When you rate yourself or your behaviour highly, you feel good (high self esteem) when you rate yourself or your behaviour low, you feel bad (low self esteem). So for most people life is a yoyo of up and down emotions as they go through life rating themselves highly at one thing on one day and the next day lowly on something else. When you accept yourself, you still have desires, goals (or lack of
