You should not be getting electric shocks from the light switch. If it is just one light switch that does it, then you should have someone check the switch. If it is all the light switches in your house, then it is most likely static electricity that is causing the shock. Static electricity can be caused by dragging your feet on carpet or it could be from fuzzy slippers.
