Why Do I Keep Getting Boils On My Labia Majora And Groin Area?
I developed a very painful boil on my labia majora. I had a history of smaller oil gland cysts which I had removed by the OB/Gyn. I figured this would definitely have to be removed so I made an appt. With my OB/GYN. However, the boil grew so large that it actually burst three days before my scheduled appt. I was told to soak in a warm bath because heat would increase the blood flow to the area and promote healing. This did help but I think it also brought the boil to a head quickly. It erupted and was filled with pus. After I removed the pus, sebum followed. I coated the boil with zinc oxide – which seemed to help. When I saw the MD, she said no surgery was required but I would need a strong antibiotic. The boil was almost invisible after only three days of taking the medicine.
