Why do i keep getting an invalid ip? ?

Actually it usually comes from assigning a static IP that’s invalid for that network or, very rarely, starting 2 computers on the network with such timing that they both request an IP at the same instant, the router only gets one of the requests, and both computers use that address. As I say, it’s *VERY* rare. Set the computer to obtain an IP address automatically. If it still doesn’t work 1) I’d make sure that you’re not trying to connect to a neighbor’s wireless signal and 2) I’d uninstall the adapter and install the driver according to d-Link’s instructions.
