Why do I have to wash my gCloth 6 times on hot before I can use them?
Before you use your gCloth refills you will need to wash them. They will seem big at first and they will not yet absorb as well until they have been washed. For optimum softness, sizing and absorbency please wash six (6) times before using. We use a hemp/cotton blend in our gCloth. Hemp is an incredibly absorbent material, but there are oils on the hemp fibers that will inhibit the absorbency until they are washed away. When you wash your gCloth initially on hot you’re stripping away those oils, allowing the hemp fibers to open up. You’ll find that the more you use your gCloth, the more absorbent they will become. Wash inserts on hot water and tumble dry on medium heat. No fabric softeners. gCloth inserts will shrink in length after a few washes.
