It would seem to me that you have been introduced to Askville via mturk, and that is why you need your answers to get scored as soon as possible. I might be wrong though. Some Askville questions go to mturk and people answer them through that website but Askville has not been designed only for mturk. We have a community here and we ask questions and want answers from one another. There is a rule for how long a question is open. Every question gets up to 5 answers. After the fifth answer is in or 7 days is passed from the first day that the first answer was posted there is a 3-day period. After that period the answers get rated. So, in general the time period is at most 10 days. As for questions that are “Googleable” those are mostly bonus questions (I see you have answered some of them, possibily from mturk) They are the ones with an orange avatar.
