All one-year students must have at least 30 transferable credits at an accredited college with a minimum of 24 credits equivalent to FIT’s liberal arts requirements (three credits in English composition, three credits in literature or speech, six credits in science or math, 12 credits in the humanities/social sciences, and one course in health or physical education) or graduation from a four-year regionally accredited institution. BFA / BS Degree — Students who apply for direct transfer into a Bachelor’s degree program must have an equivalent degree from a regionally accredited college with the same distribution of credits as required in FIT’s AAS degree plus appropriate prerequisites as required by the major. Those students who were exempt from liberal arts for the AAS Degree based on having earned a Bachelor’s degree from a former college, will have their former college transcript reviewed to ensure that they meet the full 24 credit liberal arts distribution.
