Why do I have to schedule bills on the Due Date, instead of the Processing Date like the old way?
With our new bill payment system, you keep your money in your account longer. Simply enter the date the payment is due, and the system will determine when to send the payment in order to guarantee that it arrives in time. For payees that are able to accept electronic payments, the funds will be taken from your account 3 business days prior to the due date. For paper-check payments, the check will be mailed 5 business days prior to the due date, but the funds will stay in your account until the payee cashes the check.
