Why do I have to pay £2.50 to purchase the on line vehicle tax disk ?
The reason for this is simple, it is purely down to the Government. The card providers (Visa, Mastercard et al) all charge the Government for use of their card payment systems to buy anything, so in this case it’s your vehicle tax disc; thus the Government then accordingly passes the charge straight onto you.
