Why do I have to constantly unplug the surge protector and plug it back in the receptacle to turn on the tv?
Each time I want to turn on the television I use the remote control, which has fresh batteries by the way in it, and it appears to turn on however once the small red light on the bottom right hand side goes out and the tv “clicks” as if it is going to turn on the screen remains blank but I can hear that the tv has power running through it but there isn’t any picture and I don’t hear that little welcome musical jingle. So to watch the tv I have to unplug the surge protector to which it’s connected to and plug it (surge protector) back in the wall which essentially resets it and then I could use it normally. What’s the problem, the troubleshooting tips in the back of the owner’s manual are very vague.
