Why do I have a lock in my Gradebook instead of a grade?

The lock means that your exam is still in progress even if you think you have finished. You must click Submit (not just Save) at the end of the exam in order for the Blackboard to recognize that you have finished and to grade the exam. If this does happen, your instructor will be able to go and view your exam and manually grade it.
