Here are some steps to get rid of that alert. 1) Update your AVG anti-virus protection. “If that does not work” 2) Close AVG anti-virus protection and reopen it. “If that does not work” 3) Restart computer. “If that does not work” 4) Go into the Windows security alert settings and click the setting that you will manual manage your virus protection.

AVG is weird, it runs kind of as a background program and my computer doesn’t pick it up as a protection program either. my computer has other issues that might have caused this so make sure yours is actually enabled.
