Why do i get junk email that is not addressed to me?
If you get an email that looks like it’s addressed to someone else, it means that your address was probably put in the ‘Bcc:,’ or ‘blind carbon copy’ field of the message instead of the ‘To:’ field. Your address won’t show up in the message header when it’s put into the Bcc: field, so it’ll look like you’ve received someone else’s message. That’s actually a good question that I haven’t been able to get a straight answer to myself. I have been getting e-mails that do not have my address in the “to” field since mid 2005. I’m inclined to believe that it’s an issue Yahoo! is having as I’ve not seen it happen with any of my other web based e-mail accounts that I access from the same computer. Every time I’ve tried to present the problem to Yahoo! support, I get an auto-generated “this is how you turn on your bulk folder” non-answer e-mail reply.
