Why do I get errors when I look at the Autodesk MapGuide Tutorials from a computer other than the web server on which the application is installed?
The Autodesk MapGuide Tutorials are designed to be accessed directly from a browser on the physical server serving the Autodesk MapGuide Tutorials. To make the Autodesk MapGuide Tutorials available to users accessing the server from other machines all URLs in the Autodesk MapGuide Tutorials code and maps need to be changed from localhost or 127.0.0.1 to the name of your web/map server (e.g.. www.myserver.com). One approach to make these changes would be to start the application from another machine and identify when in the application and where in the code this server name dependency is exhibited. This would be an excellent learning exercise and should take approximately 1 hour to complete.
