Visa, Inc. requires that all cardholders receive both a VITAband Visa Prepaid Chip and a full size mag-stripe Companion Card. Both these cards link to the same funding account. The VITAband Visa Prepaid Chip is inserted into the VITAband to enable contactless purchasing at point of sale terminals with Visa PayWave readers. The VITAband Visa Prepaid Card is a full size contactless mag-stripe card that works at any point of sale terminal where Visa debit cards are accepted.
