Why do I get a message saying Returned mail: User unknown when I try to send a message to a mailing list?
If you receive this message, it simply means that the address you sent your e-mail to does not exist. One common mistake is to end the list name with a one (1) instead of a lower-case L (l). Another common mistake is to send your note to listname- L@ucalgary.ca. Majordomo runs on its own machine, so the correct e-mail address is listname- L@majordomo.ucalgary.ca.
