Why do I get a black screen every time TradeItself 2006 starts?

FXCM will from time to time update their software which allows TradeItself to place and monitor trades. When an update is required, access to FXCM is restricted until the update is performed. To anticipate this, TradeItself checks if an update is required every time you start TradeItself. This accounts for the black screen. The black screen should disappear after a few seconds. If the black screen does not disappear it may be that the update check failed for some reason. In this scenario, TradeItself will still continue to run successfully, so long as an FXCM software update is not required. You can do an FXCM software update without starting TradeItself. This is done by clicking “Start” on the desktop task bar and selecting All Programs | FX OrderToGo | Update OrderToGo. Note that FXCM generally aim to do all updates over weekends or during quiet market times.
