Why do i feel really tired after i eat?
There are only 5 main MEDICALLY sound and possible reasons why you feel tired after eating: 1- After eating, people feel tired the concentration of the body is put upon metabolizing the food that is being eaten. Especially in cases when the person eats too much. 2- There are certain foods that cause you to get tired after consumption. Foods like bananas and turkey make you feel sleep like tryptophan. Make sure you also stay away from dairy. 3- Circadian Rhythm- the time that you eat is important. Most people get the most tired at 2PM everyday. Studies have shown that you should schedule eating times and get enough sleep as well as continuity of sleep- meaning sleep at the same time for at least 7 hours straight. Sleeping more than 8 hours is no longer beneficial. 4- Diabetes Mellitus- when our bodies are not able to digest the sugar well, we feel very tired when there is insulin deficiency.
