Why do I always have a GPS error code 10/11 although my TymServe is working fine?

The first digit 1 is normal – it means there is no backup power supply for the GPS board. (Symmetricom do not install one). The second digit reports an antenna problem. If your TymServe has a Bias-T circuit installed it will report Error 11. The Bias-T is fitted, especially in older installations, to put more current out to the antenna for longer cable runs (typically over 50m). The GPS receiver sees the Bias-T and not an antenna and it reports a fault.
