Why do humans live so much longer than other animals?
There are plenty of mammals who had a longer life span than us. We used to die in our twenties/thirties because we didn’t know about medicine or diet. Elephants can live up to 70 years. Some counties don’t have people live that long. In fact, women in Japan are said to live up to 89 years, that’s only a 19 year difference!! It’s kind of sort of true about gestation within animals. Rabbits have multiple birth and more mating seasons in a year. They have so many young to be fit, so they can pass on genes. It’s gestation is a month, so that means every month, they can have a litter. A rabbit’s life span is usually 8-12 years. Humans, we can only have one birth (in the rare instance of two or more eggs being fertilized or the egg splitting for twins or multiple children). This means every year, we can have one child. So, most humans stop around two, but there are some who have 8, 9, 10 children. I think there was a russian woman who only had multiple births, so she ended up with 36 childre
