Why do hotels sometimes require a minimum night stay to make a reservation?
During Special Event periods such as Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest, most New Orleans hotels will require visitors to commit to stays of three nights or longer. Many properties in the highly desirable French Quarter also require at least a two night stay on weekends throughout the year. This is due to increased demand over these time periods.
