Why do guys who want to build lean muscle need Creatine?
Us weightlifters naturally expend a heap of energy when we work out. If we can utilize every single free ADP molecule and turn it back into ATP, we’ll have more energy to work out, meaning we can synthesize more protein. More protein means more muscle. When there’s more Creatine stored in our muscle, our cells water capacity increases. The water we drink is stored in our cells and they become “super-saturated”. Having increased cell size promotes more protein synthesis and less protein break down. I’m not so sure about this, but apparently Creatine also speeds up healing of muscle tears after workout. Creatine also prevents lactic acid build up, which tires out our muscles when we’re in an energy deficit. So How Do We Get More Creatine? Like I mentioned earlier, our body naturally synthesizes Creatine. We just have to eat more of the good stuff, you know, lean meat, fish, vegetables and fruit and all that. Only recently has a consumable form of Creatine been isolated and marketed to th
