Why do grocery stores and car dealers cheat the customers?
A few do, most do not. Car dealers in particular suffer from the bad reputations of a few. I’m frankly puzzled by your mention of grocery stores because they do not have a shady reputation. Grocery retailing, unfortunately, is a very low margin business and it take a keen sense of management to make a store turn a profit.
