Why do girls have babies with their boyfriends or hook ups?
Missy. Thank goodness you are sensible – unlike those girls you speak about. They do it for all sorts of reasons. They think that by having a baby it will make their man commit to them. As your friend has discovered to her cost, it just doesn’t work like that. Others are just plain stupid. They know about contraception but can’t be bothered with it and then don’t like the consequences when they are left high and dry with a squalling baby while their ex is off with his latest squeeze. As you are aware, it is not sensible to have a baby on your own – either for your own good or the good of your baby. That baby needs role models as it grows up – both male and female – and the best way for that to happen is if the parents are in a stable relationship caring equally for the child. You have your head screwed on right Missy. Pity more of your sisters don’t.
